Through the review, we found that the video lessons were quite well taught and properly illustrated. Coupled with the audio files that are provided, the bass lessons in Creative Bass Lessons pack a great amount of content for all levels of learning the bass guitar.

We are pleased that the video lessons were recorded and edited professionally. Visual demonstrations of playing the bass (e.g. finger techniques) were shown clearly. This enables the student to see and hear how something is supposed to be played on the bass guitar.

The online bass lessons cover a multitude of playing styles, techniques, genres, and topics such as recording, live playing, soloing, walking bass, improving your timing, extracting bass grooves from drum rhythms, techniques to enable you to play fast and difficult passages, ideas to help you stay fresh, left-hand/right-hand independence, and effective use of chromatics.

On a hindsight, although Creative Bass Lessons does offer serious content in their bass guitar course, we found that the materials were overwhelming at times due to the lack of proper lesson breakdown and easy explanation. This is the main difference between Teach Myself Bass Guitar that Creative Bass Lessons was found to be lacking.
